A Garden to Inspire and Delight
It’s not an exaggeration to say that everything has evolved from our garden. A gentle paradise, sheltered by ancient walls and a magnificent yew hedge, with a myriad of plants, fruit and vegetables to inspire and delight the senses.

Taste of Tradition
We’ve taken great joy in tending our three-acres since it became our patch in 2016. But really the story begins two centuries ago, when gardeners for the Bennett family (residents of the big manor house) sunk their forks and established a botanical beginning which continues to blossom today.
Following Victorian fashions, the gardeners rose to the challenge of growing exotic produce in our far from obliging climate. A south-facing layout and clever design helped them yield the plumpest of peaches and mountains of fresh horse manure went into heating their pineapple pits.

How We Garden Today
Today, we feel fortunate to continue growing and making in the spirit of Victorian endeavour, experimenting and perfecting our Sprigster Drinks recipes, working in harmony with the seasons and the soil, and hosting guests in our restaurant to feast on seasonal dishes paired with delicious drinks.
